The Sail with its understable flight characteristics is perfect for slower arm speeds looking for a long range distance driver. Players with faster arm speeds will have fun launching this disc into huge anhyzers and turn over shots. This DGA distance driver lives up to its name and produces effortless glide allowing players max distance and control. Midnight Flyer - A Brief History

“Steady” Ed Headrick released the Midnight Flyer, the original disc designed specifically for the sport of Disc Golf, in 1978. The glow properties of the original Midnight Flyer not only opened up the ability to play disc golf at night, but more significantly added substantial weight to the disc making it an immediate player favorite. The added weight gave players the ability to throw much farther distances, and for years the Midnight Flyer held the distance record for disc flight. The original Midnight Flyers were sold in sets of 8 discs and are highly prized collectibles to this day.

Midnight Flyers Today

DGA introduced a new Midnight Flyer series in 2013, on the 35th anniversary of the original launch. The DGA Squall was selected to be the first in the series, using current flying disc technology as a way to honor the legacy of these legendary discs.  To date, six different discs have been released in the new Midnight Flyer series, with the Sail now being #7.
